The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development aims to strive to achieve an export turnover of agricultural, forestry and fishery products of 54 - 55 billion USD in 2023.

 

Many agricultural, forestry and fishery enterprises are facing increased cost pressure and reduced competitiveness in the world due to increased product prices, causing slow consumption. In January this year, agricultural, forestry and fishery export turnover recorded a decrease of up to 23% compared to 2022. In particular, the group of main agricultural products reached 1.7 billion USD also decreased by 13% compared to 2022. same period.

To improve the above situation, the Ministry of Industry and Trade recently issued the National Program on Trade Promotion in 2023 with nearly 300 trade promotion activities domestically and internationally. Accordingly, hundreds of thousands of businesses will participate and benefit from these activities. However, to take advantage of this opportunity, export enterprises must proactively and flexibly respond to world market situations.

Enterprises diversify products and increase export market coverage

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the current export turnover of organic agricultural products reaches more than 335 million USD/year, an increase of more than 400% in organic export value.
